Abernethy Contracting Earns In-House Professional Land Surveyor Capability with Jeff Hasenmayer’s PLS Licensure

Jeff has been in the surveying field since 2001 and has carried the goal of becoming licensed throughout his entire career. Two and a half years ago, he set a plan to earn his PLS license, went back to school, and followed it through to completion.

In Jeff’s words: “This has been a goal of mine since the beginning of my career in surveying, and I could never seem to be completely satisfied without it.”

That commitment has paid off.

With Jeff’s licensure, Abernethy can now self-perform all surveying aspects of a construction project from start to finish, including certifications, without the need to hire an outside firm.

This strengthens us across the board:

• More effective communication between survey and operations
• Faster response times in the field
• Greater efficiency on active projects
• True in-house, start-to-finish surveying capability
• Confidence in our own “on-call” survey department supporting every phase of the work

Jeff’s leadership and impact on this vision have not gone unnoticed.
