Abernethy Contracting prepared an 8.5-acre, 100,000 SF industrial building site on Westinghouse Boulevard. Partnering with local Charlotte developer Metrolina Builders—a third-generation, family-run company like Abernethy—our teams worked together to deliver an exceptional final product within the contract schedule and budget.
Work on the project included excavation of more than 18,000 CY of soil material, installation of 2,400 LF of storm sewer as part of a complete wet utilities package, and placement of 4,800 tons of ABC stone. Our asphalt paving teams laid 11,750 SY of asphalt, and the experts in our concrete division placed 4,200 LF of curb and 38,000 SF of concrete paving to prepare the site for construction of the industrial facility.
